Junior/adult pairs and drawing challenge competition

Today was the annual Lawn Bowls UK junior/adult sponsored competition at Kirkhill Bowling club in Penicuik where 32 bowlers took to the green for a fun day of bowls. It was great to see so many talented youngster play great bowls and enjoy the day and also have on opportunity to play alongside their parents, coaches and friends.

Well done to Holly Muir and Wullie Allan from Easthouses Bowling Club who won the trophy and the top prize beating Lorna and Mike Goldsmith from Kirkhill Bowling Club in a close and exciting final.

All the juniors also took part in a Drawing Challenge competition with Ellie Borthwick winning with a very impressive top score. The feedback on this challenge was great and many said they will now take this challenge back to their clubs to incorporate in their training. All bowlers have the opportunity to take this this challenge at their own clubs and submit their scores into the Drawing Challenge prize competition that runs until 5 April 2017. You can views the video and information at www.LawnBowlsUK.co.uk on how to take the Drawing Challenge on your own green and how to record and submit your scores.

A big thanks to Kirkhill Bowling club for making their green available and their help in organising the competition along with the Lawn Bowls UK team.
